Blondie Balloons will officially be “floating” into a new space August 31st, 2025

 

  Renowned balloon art business, Blondie Balloons, is “floating” into a new and improved brick and mortar space. Therefore, a grand opening will be held August 31st, 2025 with a ribbon cutting at 10am. 

The celebration will take place at 216 Mystic Boulevard, Suite H in Houma (new location). The event will be a celebratory balloon drop with photo opportunities and refreshments. Customers who attend can also take advantage of ten percent off your in-store purchases. Those purchases include Meri Meri and Hester and Cook items such as candles, gift cards, plates, cups, napkins, runners, confetti poppers, gift bags, and more. The ten percent also includes in-store balloon orders (deposit is required).    

Even before the ribbon cutting commences, Jasmine Becnel and her sister, Alexis Jones, already feel tied to the new space like balloons ribboned around a weight of blessings. 

“We upgraded from a 300 square foot room to a 1,200 square foot shop two years ago. Since then, our clients and community have supported us and we have grown substantially!” Jasmine said with gratefulness. 

“In our previous shop, we had to apologize to our clients when they came in because of the small pathways between giant piles of balloon garlands! So, we decided to move to a 2,400 square storefront. We finished moving last week, and we can already tell how nice it’s going to be!” she added.

Jasmine and Alexis already foresee the improved functionality and ballooned benefits of their new space amongst a dreamy mural backdrop created by artist, Kassie Voisin (That’s so Kassie). 

“Our dream with the new space is to make our day-to-day work more functional. With a cleaner and more organized space, we can offer expanded retail options to our clients. We now have a back area with ample room for us to work, be creative, and keep the mess out of the clients’ way,” Jasmine explained.

Therefore, the big day-dreamy space allows a clear direct path toward a ‘helium bar’ where walk-in clients can browse balloons, think, dream, and customize bouquets to their specifications. 

 

 

Past the helium bar and into the muraled pink and purple sky, Jasmine’s and Alexis’ hopes drift above the community.

“We hope that this new space allows us to continue to serve our clients and community in bigger and better ways in the future!” Jasmine said with excitement. 

The duo’s avid hopes and hopeful opportunities for Blondie Balloons float high over their dream space with much appreciated clients inside. 

“We feel incredibly grateful to be offered this type of opportunity. It would not be possible without the support of our community and clients. They are the reason we stay booked and busy, and without that, this expansion wouldn’t be happening,” Jasmine ended.
